Change Healthcare network interruption
Fallon Health has been made aware that Change Healthcare is experiencing a network interruption related to a cyber security issue. There is no indication that there has been a member data breach of any kind, but their systems have gone off-line while they conduct their investigation.
As a result, you might experience disruptions in these services:
- The EDI 837 Health Care Claim transaction set
Unless you send real-time transactions or claims submissions directly to Fallon Health— or through NEHEN—any claims not yet received by Fallon Health on or after 2/22 may be impacted.- If you use NEHEN, you can use that system to submit claims to Fallon Health until Change Healthcare is back on-line.
- If you would like to sign up with NEHEN, visit their website at: https://www.mahealthdata.org/nehen. Scroll to the bottom of the page and fill out the form. NEHEN will prioritize your requests.
- If we discover that the anticipated timeline for this disruption extends beyond our contractual and other applicable standards, we will work with you to establish other alternate approaches during this time.
- 270 Real-time Eligibility Inquiry and 276 Real-time Claim Status Inquiry
If you are set up to use Fallon Health’s online provider tools, you can receive member eligibility and claim status information (for the last 12 weeks) through your login. If not, you can get that information by calling us at 1-866-275-3247, prompt 1 for eligibility, prompt 2 for claim status.
