Jennifer Hoffman, M.D. – Hand & Upper Extremity Surgery
Dr. Jennifer Hoffman specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of hand and upper extremity injuries and disorders.
Dr. Jennifer Hoffman is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon who specializes in problems of the hand, wrist and elbow. She performs carpal tunnel surgery, treatment of both simple and complex traumatic injuries of the fingers, wrist, hand, and elbow, work and sports-related conditions, and joint replacement, arthroscopy and reconstruction of the upper extremity. Dr. Hoffman is experienced in fracture treatment of the upper extremity, especially distal radius, elbow and hand fractures.
Dr. Hoffman has spent the last fifteen years in Boston treating a variety of upper extremity conditions in patients ranging from infancy to adulthood. In addition to caring for her patients, Dr. Hoffman has also spent time teaching both orthopedic residents and hand fellowship candidates in the clinical and surgical treatment of a full spectrum of upper extremity disorders of all ages. She believes that it is important for her patients to understand their conditions and to be an active participant in their medical decisions. She also feels that treating the patient as a whole is necessary to help determine which treatment is appropriate for each patient.
When Dr. Hoffman is not seeing patients, she enjoys ballroom dancing, reading mysteries, and trying out new restaurants with her friends.
