Lahey Pulmonary, Beverly is pleased to have Matthew Gilman, MD as their newest provider. Dr. Gilman grew up in Toronto, Canada as an avid Toronto Maple Leafs fan. His medical interest began when completing his undergraduate degree in Kinesiology, studying the human body and how it moves. He then progressed to complete his Masters in Medical Science where he related to the heart and lung physiology, to then attend medical school at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland before moving to Massachusetts. Dr. Gilman completed his Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Critical Care Medicine training locally at Lahey Clinic from 2009 to 2015. He relocated out of state, where he practiced at McFarland Clinic and Mary Greeley Hospital in Iowa. Eventually returning back to Massachusetts, where he practiced at Lowell General Hospital before returning to the Lahey organization.
When not focused on treating patients in the community for a variety of Pulmonary Critical Care conditions, including performing Endobronchial Ultrasound Bronchoscopies, Dr. Gilman enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. He also enjoys playing baseball, basketball, fishing and the guitar.
